First Time

October 11, 2011

Hi There :)

My family and I stayed in the Yurt Labor Day weekend. It was our first time at your campground, and we loved it so much! The Yurt was so cool and so much easier than setting up our tent with our two young kids! Your campground is the cleanest, cutest little campground we have been to yet! Your bathrooms and showers were so clean I was amazed. Usually when I go camping I feel grosser getting out of a shower than I did before I went into them! The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. And the campground was just amazing. Small enough that our 5 year old son could ride his bike around and we were not afraid he would get lost. The playground was just awesome, nothing fancy just big enough and clean for both our kids, that is where we spent 95% of our time! My kids did go in the pool, for me I don’t need a heated pool in 90 degree weather, but to each his own, the lake with all the activites to do was good too. I really appreciated the quiet ours especially when you have to small children. Overall just a great experience! Thank you so much, and we have already booked for next year :)

Thank You

We have been returning here now for 8 years. It is so relaxing and so beautiful here you can’t beat it. The hosts at this campground are friendly and wonderful and they enforce their rules which is much appreciated. We have yet to find a better campground and we have traveled to many states and areas.

Many things for the kids to do, very clean salt water pool and a beach. The facilities including the bathroom and shower we above standards.Hot muffins and coffee available in the am that was really nice. Prices at the shop were very reasonable.Staff very kind and friendly.Accommodating for pets
Room Tip: If you take the areas near the highway it is very noisy at night – disturbs your sleep- trade off is you have a nicer lake view

We stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. Friendly and helpful staff.
The place is very clean, the bathrooms and showers were large and always clean.
Our campsite was clean with a fire pit and a new picnic table. We had a view of the lake.
The pool is a heated saltwater pool. There was never the problem of the water being too cold to get in. They also have a small lake with paddleboats, kayaks and canoes to rent, prices are reasonable, there is an arcade, chess and checkers in giant size and two children play areas.
If you are not into camping they also have cabins to rent.
We would definitely go back.

Best: Clean, no radios, quiet, great staff, lots of things to do.
Least: Traffic noise if your campsite is closer to the entrance.

Thank You for a Wonderful First Stay

August 27, 2011

Dear Cummings Family and MLCG Staff,

We would like to send our sincere thanks to you for a fantastic couple of days. This was our first time at Mountain Lake Campground, and it left lasting, positive impressions. Our cabin(7) was impeccable, and had all the coziness of home. Every inch of the grounds are kept clean, and groomed. This is a true family focused camping experience. My son(6) and daughter(11) had great fun wandering through the campground making friends and observing the wildlife; especially the snowshoe hares! The staff was helpful and easy to talk to. This is a place to seek solitude, happiness, friendship, along with a family focused atmosphere. We will be back again next year.

Special thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Our Recent Stay

August 15, 2011

Dear Cummings Family and Mountain Lake Staff,
I wanted to write regarding my family’s recent stay. Our family stayed the weekend of August 5th on campsite 74. We had never been to this campground and came across it while doing a google search and had to base our decision on your website. We camp just about every other weekend during the summer with our two young daughters and our two dogs. We have stayed at well over 15 different campgrounds in the past few years and have to honestly say, we have never been more impressed than we were with our stay at your facility.

The entire campground was absolutely beautiful. It is perfectly landscaped, kid friendly and every detail from the friendly office staff to the playground to the impeccable cleanliness of the bathrooms far surpassed our expectations. We were greeted with a smile from every helpful staff member we encountered whether they were working behind the counter, driving by our campsite or scrubbing the bathroom shower. It is also one of the first campgrounds we’ve been to where the “quiet hours” actually mean, quiet hours. We were able to put our kids to bed and not have to worry about loud shouting, dogs barking or radios waking them up. We were absolutely blown away and can’t wait to come back and stay again.

It seems these days people only take the time to write if there is a complaint or a concern, so I wanted to take the time to write our compliments as we truly fell in love with Mountain Lake Campground. Well worth our 3 hour drive to get there!! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful stay.

Sincerely,
The Brunson Family

lovely nights at your campground and found it to be clean, friendly, and
charming. The kids loved the warm pool and chess game.  Your family does a great job!
